Reimagining Rural Coming to Baker This February

The Reimagining Rural Program is coming to Baker on February 4, 11, and 18, bringing residents together for a three-night virtual community gathering alongside small towns from across Montana.

Organized and hosted by the MSU Extension Community Vitality Program in partnership with the Montana Community Foundation, Reimagining Rural is a highly successful series designed to help communities build local capacity. The program encourages residents to increase their knowledge and awareness of resources available to rural towns, gain a better understanding of what’s happening across rural Montana, strengthen local and regional relationships, and inspire people to dream big and take action. Reimagining Rural started in 2019, and over fifty communities across Montana have joined the conversation about the future of rural

Each session features presentations from rural experts, inspiring success stories from Montana communities, and dedicated time for local conversations. At the conclusion of the series, participating towns may be eligible to apply for the Montana Community Foundation grants to support community projects and next steps.

Baker’s meetings are being organized by SMART and the Baker Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. Folks of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend! If you are interested in joining the discussion, make your way to the Fallon County Library’s basement room from 5:15 - 8:00 on the 4th, 11th, and 18th.
