Fall Fundraisers!

The Southeast Area Revitalization Team (SMART) held its first Kiss-the-Cow Fundraiser at the Fall Festival, a donate-to-vote fundraiser. This year’s lucky winner was Fallon County’s EMS Director, Brittany Renner, who had the honor of kissing Pickles the Calf. Renner’s friends and family fervently supported her through the fundraiser, including buzzer-beater, last-minute votes. Renner may have won, but Sheriff Harbaugh maintained a strong early lead. In fact, Sheriff Harbaugh was the only contestant to receive votes until the final 24 hours of the fundraiser. Other volunteers this year included Steve Zachmann, Roy Rost, Kevin Braun, Mandi Varner, and Patti Brookes. 

In addition to the Kiss-the-Cow, SMART is bringing back the Halloween Escape Room this year. “We are very excited to show off the Escape Room this October. There has been a lot of work put into the design and into keeping the room a secret. We can’t wait to see if people can figure out the puzzles,” Executive Director Katherine Miller stated. “We are even holding a few spots on Halloween for the older crowd, but we are expecting those to get booked quickly.” For those interested in the Escape Room fundraiser, reservations can be made by calling the SMART office at 406-778-2020.
